Gong baths can help with physical, mental or spiritual problems by bringing about the transition of cellular realignment through the medium of sound. The pure penetrating sound waves of the healing gong will enable you to break free of old patterns and regenerate and rebalance yourself. Working within all the parameters of the body there is nowhere that the resonance of the healing gong cannot penetrate. It will bypass the mind and go straight to the root of the problem.
Gong Workshop In this two day workshop you will learn the basics of the history and myth of the gong as well as how to play the basic strokes with a key focus to develop enough confidence to play during the all night gong puja on the evening of January 23rd. The emphasis is on practice.
You will develop your ability to listen, to become one with the gong and to understand how you can tap into the universal sound current.
The workshop is suitable for all levels from beginner who has never touched a gong but is interested to learn to those who have had some experience and wish to go the next level.
If you own a gong then please bring it with you, if not you will be playing the Red Doors house gongs.
It is possible to come to one day only and still play in the gong puja. Emphasis will be on the bare basic strokes.
Puja-rama A gong puja is a special event where all participants are bathed in the soothing sounds of the gongs for 8-9 hours of continuous play. You may either participate as a member of the team of gong players, each playing for an allotted time or you may come and simply enjoy the entire evening. In either case a entire night of continuous gong will transform at the cellular level.
Participants in the Gong Workshop will have first priority and space for the puja is strictly limited. Therefore if you wish to attend, confirm your place by booking and paying in advance.
Things to bring: We have mats and cotton blankets, if you need anything additional, such as a special pillow please bring it for sleeping.
